Does anyone else see very slow times in ORD when opening files or switching files. On my machine, it takes 2+ minutes to open a file, nealry that long to switch between files. And if I open the libraries branch of standards in Project explorer can take 5 minutes just to expand the list.

OpenRoads Designer Connect Edition Update 2 - Profile problems
When I create a profile sheet, this is how it comes in. The grid, stationing, and elevations are in the little box and I cannot figure out why. Also, is there a way to export the profile to a different file? I'd like to be able to reference the files into individual plan and profile sheets, as I do with PowerInroads.

SS4 - How do I save temporary views?
Using InRoads SS4, I created cross sections on sheets (drawing borders) that now appear in a "temporary view" in my design file. Being temporary, they vanish if I get out of my file and get back into it. How do I save these temporary views?

Drawing and sheet models not retaining default model settings?
Hey Bentley friends,
When I create our plan and profile sheets in our .dgn, if I have turned off levels we do NOT want to show in our default model (levels from survey files, etc.) why when I create our drawing and sheet models do I have to then turn off the levels again in those files? Am i missing a setting somewhere? I've made sure to save setting before creating them...

ORD display problem
Hi, Just wondering if anyone else has come across this display problem, where as you move the cursor across the display monitor (1) the graphic disappear. ( as shown in the screen capture shot).
Im currently running the latest version ORD and the machines are new and capable of running the software.

Ahhh this drives me pretty nuts, Im very frustrated with the ongoing display issues. Really I don’t have a clue on what is causing the problem. I use a standard HP two button mouse and all drivers are updated and the PC is above the basic spec requirements.
Ive lodge support request with both our IT team and Bentley support and have spent countless hour scouring the internet trying to work out why, nothing has ever helped.

Exporting Terrain Model to InRoads DTM does not retain exterior boundary.
I have a SS2 .dtm that I have merged in to a larger terrain model to create a complex terrain model. The merge works well and the complex model boundary includes the new terrain areas. I need to export the complex terrain model out to and Inroads .dtm and a .xml file. The export works fine, but the exterior boundary is not retained.
Here is the boundary of the TM in Inroads SS4
Here is the xml triangles after export.
The boundary and contours in the exported DTM file match the triangles from the xml.
How to I export a dtm and xml and retain the boundary from the original Terrain Model?

Is there a way to generate a spreadsheet describing civil cells placed in a corridor?
I just finished adding a large number of driveways to a roadway corridor using civil cells. Our client requires us to submit a driveway summary spreadsheet containing information like radii, lengths, grades etc. I am wondering if there's a way to generate such a spreadsheet using Openroads. Or at least a way to export a description of all the civil cells I used in my corridor. Please enlighten me.

power inroads settings
Hello .....
I am new to power inroads i found a lot of .dgnlib files in workspace and no one was showing attached with power inroads i made setting like pics below for testing purpose copy all dgn files in a folder and give path of that folder in dgnlib variable in configuration now settings is showing in power inroads like below pics
I am confuse on some points
1-why not all dgn lib automatically attached to power inroads design file?
2-how to configure civil cells library? my civil cell library is emtry even i attached all dgnlib all at once...
3-if xin file is controlling feature definitions that xin file is attached but levels are not showing in design file when i draw a aliment it never goes on a level but it goes on level 0 as shown in attached pic & if levels controls by dgn lib then how i know which dgn lib i should attach for civil.xin?
4-element templates is also showing attached dgn files but no levels in design file no civil cell why?
5-how i can get spot levels on surface?
6-if i import surface or creat surface through civil tools shows in power inroads explorer if i put surface feature definition on auto export so if i will put geometry like aliment profile etc on auto export that will also show in power inroads explorer?

convert lines in to template

I need a clarification regarding creating template in open roads, its little difficult to create a complex model, i find a video in youtube (https://youtu.be/KbQWNWtvYV4), they convert lines in to template as easy by using microstation but they use a inroads modeler tool bar, how to add that in my microstaion kindly advice me to find that tool

new to inroads - cut / fill of a hillside
I have been tasked to cut out a hill slide and then stabilize it with a fill.
i've created in microstation polyline/bspline contours, then imported surface from graphics using inroads. i can create contours but engineer says something is off during cross sections - fill is below cut. i have cut cross sections manually drawing in where fill lines should be, then create surface from cross section, then that creates a new surface, well its no where close to what my originial design is, espically the perimeter.
every video i look for has for a road design, i'm not designing a road.
is there a way to merge the original designed contours to the manual/cross section designed contours.

Inroads will not import comma seperated text file

ORD How to get LandXML exports including Profile?
Hi all,
I only seem to be able to get horizontal alignments exporting when using LandXML geometry export in ORD Update 2 - does anyone know how I can also get profiles? If its a known limitation for this version, does anyone have an XSL report I can use in the meantime - the SS4 one doesn't seem to work (after upgrade to ORD)?

Does anyone know if ICM export functionality is planned for ORD? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Has this support been discontinued?
I'm not really that fussed, but we have colleagues working with Trimble Business Centre.

Select different workspace for Bentley Learn
Hi all. I'm trying to do some of the Bentley Learn tutorials and they require me to set the correct workspace. 
The problem is, that my program (Power Rail Track SS4) has been set up by our CAD admin. The workspace that the program goes to by default is located on a network drive. This is all fine for working on different projects for clients, but I can't seem to get it to locate the workspace required for the learn tutorials.
I would like to keep the default workspace directory to the network drive, but also have a shortcut on my desktop that uses the correct workspace for the Learn tutorials. Is there a way to add a command to a shortcut so it does not load the workspace from the network drive, but the workspace located for the learn tutorials?

Visualise Option ConceptStation
Dear All,
Good Day !!
I am facing message when i click "Visualise" option under main menu in ConceptStation. I have NIVIDIA GTX 1070 as a primary graphics card installed in my PC. I also tried to change certian settings but didnt got solution. I also updated drivers as well, and nividia card is also working properly.
Anyone please help in this regard.

Default Profile Model Exaggeration
In SS4, the profile model that I see, always opens to an exaggeration of 10. Is there a setting that changes this? How can I make it default to something different?

Template for open roads
Dear all
I have a query regarding to create a template, we plan to create a tunnel we have a 2D line diagram, but for creating tunnel we need to create a template (.itl format) in open roads, any options for convert 2D line diagram in to template, we try that in latest microstation version but we didnt find any option there, if it is possible kindly guide me to how we do that
