hello everyone.i am using input files for design but when i draw crossections i dont use input file.
i want to show 2-3-..etc surface on my crossections..for example one surface is OGL the other surfaces should be cut or fill surface depend on survey data.
simply i would like to design more than 1 triaangle section..and show them to my crossections and of course i should calculate volume.
anyone help me please. i attached my input files.

I'm defining a duct which is 0.17 x 0.15 m for total size in cross-section with a thichness of 2.5 cm. When enter this dimension in Feature-definition as "box", SUE changes it to 0.2 x 0.2 m and the moduled 3D-duct is also too big (i.e. 0.2 x 0.2 m). How do I use cm (i.e. two decimals) for feature-definition?
I'm using Power Railtrack SS4 - ver. 08.11.09.878.

Hi all,
Does anyone know of anything in Openroads that operates as a Terrain triangle nulling string like a PBRK string in MX.
Instead of having to have a closed shape as a nulling Terrain Feature it would be extremely useful to have a Terrain Feature that allowed a linear element to null any terrain triangles it crosses. Eg. It would allow the use of Median shoulder or depressed Median linear elements to create a void between dual carriageway or twin separate bridges, etc.
Any enhancement request for one?

We are about to model three highway cross over sites. I have never done this. Does anyway have a basic outlined approach to how to do this. I am not asking for a detailed step-by-step; just a general approach. Something like an order of operations.
I have my first project ever working with spirals. I'm trying to make sure that everything in my alignment gets annotated correctly.
What does "Radius + A" stand for?
I usually ignore it because we don't need it (usually) but I don't know if I need to look at it now.

I am using Power InRoads V8i SS2 and I have a serious problem where the program crashes every time I try and place a drafting profile note on a drainage profile. Before opening the drainage file, I am able to get to the drafting profile note menu, but once I load in any drainage .sdb file, I click on the drafting profile note menu and I get the " Power InRoads V8i (SELECTseries 2) has stopped working" message and I am forced to close the program.
Please let me know if anyone has a fix for this issue.
I would like to be able to define points with names, then create horizontal geometry from those points while still retaining the point names. Once that geometry is created, I would like to create a report indicating the POB and the point number, then bearing and distance to the next point number, and so on. At each point in the report, I would also want the northing, easting, station, and offset from a selected alignment. Anyone have any ideas on how to incorporate all that?

How do you reopen the OpenRoads XS & Earthwork Reports without reprocessing Earthwork? I can save off individual reports and reopen them but not all of them at once. I can reopen the Bentley Civil Report Browser but can't access the report list I already processed.

Friends, it's been a few weeks that I'm testing OpenRoads.
I have projects designed in PowerCivil SS4 that is version 2016, I want to open those projects in OpenRoads that is version 2017, but I get a notice indicating that the project is not supported by OR.
What steps should I follow to migrate my projects?

While trying to move CAD files from Phase 1 to Phase 2 of a design project, the following has happened:
We also are moving forward with the 2D utility linework we have received from Phase I at this time. When we copy in the linework, the utilities convert into line strings.
It seems like we will either need to abandon the metadata and 3D data developed in Phase I, or a significant amount of re-work will be required to replicate those files. If you have developed a process to mitigate this, please share that with us.
The process we are doing is to create a blank file using the seed, reference in the Phase I utility, merge into master, change the level(s) to the new workspace levels, and compress design. We aren’t getting any utility metadata when we do so. If you have a different process we should be using to maintain any metadata stored through the SUDA program, let me know so we can test. Thanks.

I am using Power Geopak v8i, ss2.
I have DOT files that keep showing the aerial imagery in the background. I see the activate button under the Geopak pulldown, but I do not see anyway to turn the aerial off. I tried selecting activate as a toggle, but the aerial imagery persists. Any suggestions how I can turn off the aerial imagery from populating in my file ?
Is there a way in ORD to create a single boundary from multiple corridors?
I have created a STM, and need to clip the model to multiple corridors, so the design is visible when in cut.. However adding several clipping references at once causes ORD to crash. The alternative, adding them one by one, is quite time consuming. Is there a way to create a single composite boundary from multiple corridors, This could then be used to trim the terrain model in one go.

Have you tried to publish i.dgn with ORD Update 2? I get strange results with leinear features being exported. Corridor is clipped or there is a gap between template drops. 3D model in dgn looks fine, linear objects are interrupted. However when i-model is published, these linear features are continuous. With MSTN CE updt 7 when published to i-model linear objects have gaps but civil data is stripped.
What is the workflow to publish i-models from ORD models to have both: correct geometry and civil data? thanks!
I am modeling a storm drainage system for the widening of an existing bridge. Existing bridge drains will be remove and I need to confirm if we can just use the same inlet spacing for the increased pavement area or we need more inlets.
Geopak drainage has the bridge drain cells provided by the state with different parameters(larger grate width and length) than the ones our bridge engineers are using, but the capacities the model calculated are less than the results from previous Winstorm model.
Also the existing has a opening connecting to a concrete flume to drain the water from the bridge. It was modeled in Winstorm as a curb inlet(10') . Does Geopak Drainage provide some node like the opening other than using a curb inlets?

General question to the design community - for those who have actually used Open Roads Connect Edition Update 2 on a live project, for delivery, how has the interface held up?
Processing large corridors, connecting multiple corridors together, developing plan production etc. I am curious to how the design community has handled this new software on this Update.

I have done the plan annotation in OpenRoads Designer and merge the file. I notice all the plan annotation was lost in the merge file.
