Is anyone else experiencing massive delay in using the Customize Ribbon dialog in ORD? Using it is fine, but actually opening it takes a while.
I am also having a very lengthy wait (5 minutes+) for it to apply menu changes. My version of Microstation CONNECT does it instantly.
Hi Guys,
Is there someone who can explain how to manage Feature styles for the alternate surfaces, for now it's all coming up in the default Feature styles?
Regards, Christiaan
I am in need of some ORD Cross Section assistance. I have tried more than a few times cutting static cross sections into sheets in OpenRoads Designer without much luck for a result that I can deliver as a final deliverable to our team.
The sheet files being generated are not being clipped (I think) to the correct boundary. Also, the working elevations ranges are from 1020.00' to 1070.00' but my scale of "104" does not reflect this.
Also, I set each terrain within my terrain model reference to a different feature definition in my to allow for the identification of the different surfaces in the cross sections, but all of the line weights, types, colors look very similar if not the same. If there a better way to identify these line symbolgies to reflect the different surface types for comparison.
Can somebody please tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thank you.
Hello Deepak,
Are you working with OpenRoads? There are couple of ways to get the "Corridor Component Quantities". 1. You can select the corridor and from the context menu select "Reports > Corridor Component Quantities". 2. From the Task manager > Corridor Modelling , select "Component Quantities". The reports gives the quantities based on the components defined in the corridor template.
Hope this helps.
Hello
Can anyone please tell me how to get quantities of cut and fill applied by individual layers/components over surface, same as we get in native version (scarification report)
Thanx
Deepak Rawat
Corerection this is also happening in MS CONNECT Update 5.
Any idea if this has been addressed in Update 1? It seems to be an issue when applying this linestyle via a Element Template (no matter where the RSC is)- direct linestyle application works fine.
Hi all,
I have some 3d linestyles that include mesh components that don't seem to display at all in ORD - they work fine in SS4 and Microstation Connect (update 4). Other 3d linestyles that just include shapes/lines etc. come in okay. They have always been stored in RSC files, but I have even tried putting them in a dgnlib with no luck.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have attached a resource file with the linestyles in question.
I need to use meshes for the components of the 3d linestyle for Navisworks (or any Autodesk) solid compatibility, ie. drop the linestyle and export otherwise I get thousands of shapes and lines, etc.

Chuck,
I merged the points between the two components, and the results were worse... Didn't fix the original problem, and created another. What to try next? Or I could send my IR files for you to check, let me know.
