I annotated a horizontal curve and instead of showing the station number it repeats the alignment. The name of the alignment is "PrBL1" not sure why its not showing the correct stationing number.

Calculations in Power InRoads SS2
At another firm using Civil 3d, I was able to use text files to drive the Survey Command Line to calculate points and draw linework within AutoCad. The advantage of this functionality was the text file served as a history of my calculations which I could reference years later if needed in order to see how I did my calculations etc. Also, revisions were easy: I simply revised whatever command lines I needed in the text file, re-ran the text file and all of the points and linework were automatically updated. Does Power InRoads have anything similar, where I can use something like a text file to calculate points and draw linework that can linked to Microstation? Currently, I use InRoads to calculate points from existing linework instead of the opposite. I often have several lines really close to each other and picking the right line is often a challenge and an invitation to error.

Toolbars growing in size - unwanted
I noticed that when opening models my Feature Definition Toggle toolbar grows a bit to the right. After several file and/ or model opens my toolbars are no longer where I want them, even to the point of forcing them to a new line of toolbars below the first.

How to get back to "No feature definition" in Drainage and Utilities?
Hi everyone
The function "place lateral" requires a tap node to start with, and I have by mistake set the feature definition of the tap node to some manhole. Now I want to go back to "No feature definition" value because I just want to use the normal junction for it, but I don't know how to get back to No feature definition value. If I click on the drop down menu, it forces me to select one of the feature definitions available.
Is it something that I have to do under configuration? I'm an OpenRoads rookie, so please guide me step by step if possible

Horizontal Feature Constraint ORD2020
Hi,
I'm trying to add Horizontal Feature Constraint to linear template I applied to the model but with no success.
The idea is to fill the gap between the concrete ditch to the road.
In the template the top fill point is defined with Horizontal Feature Constraint and the Feature definition to look for (TL_End Cond Hinge) with range of (-10).
I've also defined the asphalt line with the TL_End Cond Hinge as External Reference
What could be the solution for this?
I'm using ORD2020 Release 3

Utility Line text
I have been drawing utilities in to the project I am doing. The text that shows up on the utilities line is so small when I print I cant tell which is which. How does one make that text bigger? here is a link to a picture of the line text I am talking about.

Civils Tools Task Bar not present in either Power Rail TRack SS10 or Microstation SS10
My company has recently advised we all needed to update from BRT to Power Rail Track SS10 and at the same time ensure we we updated our MicroStation versions to SS10. Since doing so I now cannot create cross sections via the old method via the Evaluation sub-menu in BRT. From looking at several other threads this is now done via the Corridor Modelling function.
My issue is that the Civils Tools is not present within the Tasks menu, alongside a reduced number of functions within the Terrain Model section (see below), unlike my colleague who has all the functionality required to generate cross sections. I have checked through the Tools and Tool Boxes sub-menus to see if i had a box unchecked but there does not appear to be the relevant option to select.
I appear to have all the relevant cfg files to launch the Civils Tools add-in but am not sure if they are in the correct location.
I'm due to start on a major project next week where this functionality will be key to my output so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi can someone help me how to controll default item types when I exporting data from ORD to IFC. I mean turn off items like Component layer/Corridor/civil Quantities. Those informations are valuable but some clients wants only his specific items sets

Horizontal Alignments cannot be adjusted
I have drawn horizontal elements to form a horizontal alignment in open roads. Normally, when you select such an alignment, orange text and orange cursors appear around the element so that you can manipulate it and the alignment. However, I get no such text or cursors when I select the element. Not only that, there is no way to manipulate the element at all. You can delete it and redraw it, but that's it.
Does anyone know what's going on?

I need two specific XML reports involving existing surface information.
In version ss4 Inroads format, I need two different XML reports. I need a report that will tell me the vertical difference between an existing surface and a designed surface at a specific point...at the proposed edge of pavement every 10' as an example. I also need a report that will give me transverse cross slopes at stations (for existing lane widths and shoulders etc.) along an alignment. Does anyone know of any reports like these? Are you willing to share?

Linear Features to Cross Sections
Hi All,
Is there a workflow in Inroads SS10/ORD to include linear features like existing highway boundaries or utilities that are not part of your corridor to display on the cross sections?
Our workflow for Inroads SS2 was to drape the lines on an existing surface, import into a non-triangulated DTM with a style associated to them, and then update the cross section sets for crossing/projected features.
The only thing I figured out in SS10 was to create small triangle components on both side of my template with the correct style and then have point control in the corridor find the linear feature (highway boundaries in this case).
Any help would be appreciated.

Reports List in OpenRoads

Under the Reports button within OpenRoads there's a short list of Reports that can be generated:
Though, when I go to C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition\OpenRoadsDesigner\Default\Reports there's a whole bunch more of Report .xml files available to facilitate generating these reports. How do I go about using the other Report "templates" located under C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition\OpenRoadsDesigner\Default\Reports ?

ORD 2020 R3: Annotating Item Types on Cross Sections
Hej
We had an Annotation Group that used to annotate Item Type on Cross Sections. Briefly, we have 3D models of safety barriers, custom 3D line style, displayed on XS as a cell. In the 3D model, barrier lines have Item Types attached, describing containment level and the working width, eg. N2W2 alon with other data we need. This allowed us to annotate aforementioned data on cross sections. Worked great until we updated from ORD 10.08 to 10.09.
We thought we needed to update text fav and the Annotation Group itself, and did so. Unfortunately it will not work.
Do you use Item Types for custom annotations, both in Plan and XS, posibly on profile as well? Anyone has similar issue and solved it?

[ORD] Vertical Curve Parameter
Hi,
On profiles we use parabolas and Radius here. It seems in R3 the settings went wrong. If I select Kvalue, I have to type in R/100 in Profile View to apply required radius. The worse is to select Rvalue in settings panel, because in this case I have to input 10000/R (Mvalue?). Am I wrong or is it an issue? (Anyway the annotations on drawings are correct)
Setting Rvalue the Vertical Curve Parameter is 4.000 instead of 2500:

Hi. i have tried to create dynamic cell by DDD tools. but it is not avaliable for my need.
on the picture;
i have a bridge abutment. i need to move one side of abutment automaticly.
Do we have any option for that? I dont need dimension. Just drawing. for example, i am going to slide one side of cell. That is going to take this shape.

Correct USACOE AEC Work Structure version for use with PowerInroads SS10

Window size stuck on the left side
Hi,
When I opened the software yesterday the view window was only displayed for about 1/3 of the whole window size (see screenshot). I did not change any settings or configurations previously. I have not been able to figure out how to fix this. I reinstalled the software and I am still having the same issue. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?
