I would like to make revisions to an OpenRoads project, however when I open the various DGN files, it says that is has found that it is a newer version (OpenRoads, Update 8) and so will only open a read-only version of the file. I am running OpenRoads Update 7 - am I able to make modifications to projects completed in the newer version? Is there a way around this? I am very new to using OpenRoads.

plot a record map
Hi, I am a long time Civil 3D user literally on my first InRoads project. A large part of what I do begins with recreating record maps and deeds. I am struggling with tangent curves from the end of a line or curve. In Civil 3D you pick the end of a line, enter the radius and delta or length and it draws the curve tangent to the line you selected. A reverse or compound curve is pretty much the same, just pick the end of the curve, select compound or reverse, enter radius and delta or length and you're done. Is there anything like that in InRoads? I am using Bentley InRoads Suite V8i (SELECT series 2)
Would someone please tell me the most efficient way to draw something like the following: ...S87^W 421', thence along a curve to the left having a radius of 250' through a central angle of 52^ a distance of 226.9'; thence N35^E 310', thence along a curve to the right having a radius of 500' through a central angle of 17^ a distance of 148.35' to the beginning of a reverse/compound curve having a radius of 250' through a central angle of 52^ a distance of 226.9'...

ORD 2020 R1 - Create a New Design File
When I create a new file from the ORD start screen the suggested folder is the Workset DGN folder. On the other hand if I create a new file after loading a design file then the suggested folder is the active file's folder. Some of our users want to create new files from the start screen without first loading an active file. Is there a way to get ORD to suggest the most recent folder to place those new files?

How do you get to the "Sheet Properties" of a DGN file?
I am trying to change the index association of a file, as I can not add it to a certain index. In order to do this, I need to access Sheet Properties. A search in program does not pull it up.

Geopak drainage link vertex
If I place a vertex in the geopak element ( see below) instead of a generic junction and to pipes to simulate a bend, will the junction losses still be calculated correctly?

Vertical Offset/Slope/Variable Slope from Element profile tool to create Complex Profile Alignments with Profile Curves between elements ORD 10.08
Previous to 10.08 we were able to extend a crossfall from one Geometry string to another plan element and include Profile Curves between elements to smooth out the transitions between multiple elements.

ORD and RSS feeds
When I start ORD for the first time I receive two Alert dialog boxes pertaining to RSS feeds. The feeds are

ORD cannot find these feeds. In my testing I have found that if I change the http:// to https:// I can access the urls. Where can I modify the two URL's listed above to start with https:// rather than http://"?

OpenRoads ConceptStation crashes during import
I've been trying to import a .tin file from the ORD but at 4 of 6: Generating LOD, ConceptStation crashes without any warning or message.
I tried a few other terrains, but nothing worked and just crashes.

Export thematic height display from OpenRoads designer connect edition to CAD
I have just finished with Aquaplaning analysis using OpenRoads designer connect edition. Now I want to export both the Thematic display and contours to .dwg format sothat the users with AutoCAD can start other analysis. I have tried somany processes to do so but failed to get the output.
Can somebody advise an way around? I want the Aquaplaning Thematic display in CAD format.

[ORD] Profile Slope Relative to Target? WAD?
Hi all,
Can anyone explain how the "Slope Relative to Target" option works in the Profile tools and why it is only enabled in the Variable Slope/Vertical Offset tool dialogs. I also see it in Profile Projections, but have varying results (usually nothing) when I adjust it.
My first thought was that it would change the slope to be calculated at a normal to the Target element (which is something we really need), but it doesn't seem to work that way?

ConceptStation Image covered up by blue mass
ConceptStation has massive blue areas next to roadway covering up my imagery. I have played around with the elevation but that has not really made the massive blue area go away. Help would be most appreciated as I am new to using it 
and have received no formal training on this program.

OpenRoads Ideas forum feedback?
Hi all,
Out of curiosity I was wondering how the OpenRoads Ideas forum worked vs the Microstation forum one that gets a status/feedback. I see a lot of great ideas in the OpenRoads Ideas forum but users don't seem to get any feedback whether anything is under consideration to be incorporated in future development. It would make the whole concept much more valuable in my opinion.

Background Map
I set the Bing background map in the default model but when I created a model sheet and attached the default the Bing map doesn't load. Am I missing a setting or does the background map not have this functionality?

How to output ORD cross sections as per native format
Hi All
I am try to figure out if there are ways possible to output cross section in Openroads Designer as per the native / traditional layout we had in SS4. I.e output to one model view but with multiple sheets
From this output, our CAD team would then create drawings by simply xrefing this into a drawing file, move the boarder and 'clip' to show each individual sheet per drawing file. This would be done at a stage where our models are frozen.
The attached image, is an example of what we produced in SS4, but i have removed the annotation for clarity.
If there are any workflows or workarounds that will be great - As a standard our cross section are cut every 20m, so in terms of how many cross sections drawings we need for a project could be not many to a LOT :)

Tracking - Station / Offset / Elevation
I'm developing some grading sheets in ORD Connect. In V8i I could use the tracking tool and with one click get the Station, Offset, and Elevation of the Surface I needed to put into a call out. Or, I could use the InRoads drafting tools and get the same 3 data fields. Then I would use the Two Point Slope tool in InRoads to get and annotate the slope between two points.
Currently the only way I can find to get the elevation of the surface and the slope is by using the Analyze Between Points (gives me the elevations of both points and the slope between them), and then taking a screen shot of the data so that I can then select the edit tool to manually add the text into a callout.
There has got to be an easier way. I have tried using the Place Label tool, but all I can get out of it is Station and Offset, not Surface Elevation - it just stays zero'd.
What I want is a Place Label option that spits out the Station, Offset, and Elevation (surface). And, another one that annotates the slope between two points.
Is there such a thing in ORD Connect?
