In openroads designer SUDA it won't allow me to change the longitudinal slope on an inlet. If it were reading from the terrain file it still wouldn't be close to the slope it's currently at. Does anyone know where this is pulling from or how I can change it manually?

Where do I set OpenSite to use xin or smd for point importing?
communities.bentley.com/.../Link-Survey-Feature-Definitions.pdf I am trying to migrate a firm from V8i to OpenSite Connect 10. Documentation says I should be able to use existing .xin or .smd files for importing points. I have found an example of where these are set in OpenRoads. Does anyone know the correct location to designate a .xin or .smd in OpenSite?

Aquaplaning Report
Hi All
I’ve recently started looking at Aquaplaning in OpenRoads Designer (V. 10.07.03.18 – 2019 Release 2 Update 7).
I’m curious to know if the product offers the capability of having a single report providing a breakdown of all flow lines, and summarising the max depth per flow line?
Currently the only option I see is opening a report per flowline, which would be based on a visual inspection. The below/attached image refers.

[ORD] Drawing Annotation Text changes with Units
Hi all,
I am trying to export a Profile Drawing to DWG with my export settings set to Millimetres. My Design file units are Metres and when I export, the Drawing is successfully scaled up, but my Annotation text, like Station and elevation all become Millimetres as well, e.g. Station 11 becomes 11000. This also happens with other Drawing types like Cross Sections as well.
Does anyone know of a way around this? Is this something I can change in the text favourites?

Change my triangulation color View / PowerInroadV8i
Hi!
I want to change my view triangle color.
First I changed in my "Preference manager" the "View triangles" to edit it by the real one.
When I use "Surface" / View surface/Triangles " it work.
But when I take the "update 3-D/Plan Surface Display" window, the check box "triangles" doesn't work ....
I don't know which settings can I do to change that and apply my new color with this command?!?

Is there a way to remove station equation station prefix or suffix to none in Connect ORD? Another similar concern is the ability to move PC/PT locations to prevent overlap?

Call out for Driveways
I have 58 driveways in different sheets that need to be called out( labelled) using a Standard call out we use. I have all the stations and elevations for the driveways. Is there a batch process for the same, instead of me going into every sheet? I am using MicroStation V8i(SELECT series 4)Version 08.11.09.832. The tool set is Inroads Suites. There are 70 Plan and Profile sheets

[ORD] Any way to create Profile & Cross Section Text Annotation that is not Annotative?
Hi all,
Does anyone know if there is a way to have the Annotation Group Text created when Annotating Profile and Cross Section drawings created without being Annotative?
It serves absolutely no function as the boxes are static and it is something our CAD team has requested as it causes them some unnecessary performance overheads.

[ORD 2020 R1] ORD takes 12x longer to open container files than Microstation?
Hi all,
Does anyone know why ORD takes an exponentially longer time than Microstation to open empty container files. I can appreciate a overhead, but this much? For some reason I see ORD loads all nested references, down to the max nexting level even though all our references have No Nesting set.
To make matters worse, there is an additional delay when ORD doesnt find each nested reference and because of how deep it is looking its almost impossible to locate where it is, especially on large projects like the ones we're working on - even in files that only contain references.
Fast open was originally a big selling point for the DGN container, but this actually now takes longer than any other product ive ever used.
eg.
Using an empty DGN in Projectwise, with multiple models and a single Unnested Reference in each, im seeing it takes 12 times as long to open a session from window open to being able to Navigate (it wiorks similarly when working locally as well):
Microstation CE Update 13 = 00:15
OpenRoads Designer 2020 R1 = 03:00

HOW DO I ANNOTATE CARRIAGE WAY AND SHOULDER SLOPES ONLY
I tried annotating the carriage way and shoulder for several hours still it labels fill slopes and the ditch have checked the segments nothing is displayed as seen on image
Also i tried checking the components
when i go to annotate the cross sections are as seen 
i just want only the carriage way and shoulder slopes only...please help

Have created a corridor on the roadway designer it doesn't display but on the cross sections the components are there 
but on the alignment there is nothing is displayed only the alignment

[OR 2020 R1] Aliases not detecting offset profiles
Hi all
Has anyone been able to use aliases in annotation groups since the release of 2020 R1?
When annotating profile sheets, the list of alias targets is now blank and does not detect any profiles to annotate:
For one of our users, the alias list for superelevations is also blank.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there maybe a workaround?

Color Codded Elevation and Slopes in OpenRoads Designer
Hi,
Again, I need some tips from you :)
I appreciate thematic views in Microstation or ORD. Works nice for general models review but can not be used for detailed analysis or BOQ calculations.
1) Rehabilitation project. For the contractor I need to report milling areas of given depth ranges, eg. milling 0-4 cm deep - 34000 sqm, 4-8 cm deep - 22000 sqm, etc. With ORD it seems I can only define thematic view: height as needed and review delta terrain model to check if milling is not exceeding maximum assumed values but nothing more. With Inroads SS2 we had a View Colour Codded Elevations tool that could A) display permanent CAD graphic, B) generate reports on areas of for specific elevation steps.ranges. We critically need his in ORD to even consider using it on rehabilitation/upgrade projects.
2) Slope analysis. We have terrain models for complex trenches and for the BOQ requirements we need to provide areas of all the slopes exceeding 500% slope (rock cutting). Thought we can sue thematic view and colorized slopes as per specific step. Two issues: 1) slope can not exceed 100% in this tool, it will not accept 500% slope of rock cutting in our models, 2) we can not display permanent CAD graphic of slopes of 500% and steeper. If we could, we would create stick triangles to meshes, set feature definition and calculate areas with Quantities by Named Boundary. Again in Inroads SS2 we have View Color Codded Slopes tools which displayed permanent CAD graphics as determined slope step. Is it possible to generate permanent graphis out of thematic views? Just to mimic what was acheivable with SS2 tools.?
How you are dealing with ORD when you need permanent graphic out of thematic views? how to report areas as per specific milling depth step?
For now I am using ORD 2020 R1 for modelling and appreciate benefits of technology. And I still need to use Inroads SS2 for basic engineering analysis. Imagine I would like to be able to use single software package.

XIN Read-Only dialog suppression

I am sure this question has been asked many times and I have read a few of the posts on how to resolve the xin read-only prompt but I want the xin file set as read-only since the file is the organization standard company wide. So the question is, does a configuration variable exist that will suppress the read-only prompt. In the event that a project needs to edit the xin file, then it would be copied into the project structure where it is editable. So far I am unable to find a way to suppress his without a coded solution or moving the file to a editable location as noted above.

Add a breakline or features into the terrain
Dear people,
I wanna add a breakline (or features) into the terrain model.
In C3D, have several breakline types such as 'Standard', 'Non-Destructive' and etc.
But I couldn't find a 'Non-Destructive' type in Openroad CE.
Where is it?

ORD cross section output to Excel?
Hi all,
I've got a request to from a client to get all of our cross section data exported to excel.
What I would like to see is Linear Features, Design Level, Existing Level at Chainage CH100
Does anyone know of any existing reports that do this, the closest I have found is "Corridor Model Component Quantities Report".
