Hi I am new to OpenRoads Designer, While going through the application I realised that there is no dataset setup on my application. I know that there is "Dataset x64 United Kingdom" on Bentley Website to download. Just wondering how to I add downloaded dataset to my OpenRoads Designer.

Named Boundaries and Plan Production
We are having some issues with understanding the ORD Plan Production tool set and controlling level overrides in the drawing or sheet models. When we create a series of plan and profile sheets, we start with a fresh 2D seed file, reference in the necessary reference files, turn on/off levels or set level overrides for the plan set’s needs in the design model, and then use the ORD Named Boundaries workflow to create the drawing models and sheet models.
The problem that we are having is none of the level overrides are being honored in the resulting drawing or sheet models. Additionally, if we need to make any changes to the level on/off settings or additional level overrides from the host design model, none of these changes are dynamically shown on the drawing or sheet models.
We typically have hundreds of plan and profile sheets for projects and having to manually set the level on/off or overriding symbology is not a workflow option. Our preferred workflow would be to have a single design model used for controlling all of the sheet model level settings.
Is this a known problem with ORD Plan Production? Thanks in advance for any help.

We have upgraded the software from V8i SS2 MX Road to V8i SS4 MX Road Suit powered by Open Road in 2017. My question is related to Open Road. I wish to know that whether feature of Open Roads came with the MX Road Suit is still suitable for road design or these are out dated?

Error importing .dat file in Subsurface Utilities Model!!!!
Hello,
I'm trying to import a utility model from SS4 to OpenRoads. I followed the instructions here. I load my .xin file, my .dat file, and my .sdb file. I didn't load a .idf file, but I'm not sure if that's necessary.
Here are the issues I'm having:
1. There is nothing in my Project Configuration dropdown menu to choose from. ( I guess I'm not sure if this is causing issue #2 below).

Profiles not showing vertical curve data
I have a series of client supplied road alignments (LandXML format) that when displayed in OpenRoads Designer and annotated with the ORD PnP toolset, several of the profiles will not annotate the vertical curves. At first, I thought the problem was with the client supplied workspace, but then after trying two other client workspace and Bentley’s own “Training” workspace, the issue persists, and we cannot get ORD to annotate some of the vertical curves.
Does anyone know of a issue, toggle, or other setting that would keep vertical curves from annotating in ORD.

geometry offset manipulation
is there a way to unlock these values. they are geometry: offset and tapers. the only way i been able to adjust these lines are by removing the rule but i lose the offset.

Cross Section - Cut and Fill
Hi
Why is the "Cut Frame" not all around and closed around the Corridor? Will it have some consequences for the volume calculation.
And why is not Fill Frame" all the under the pavement?
Cut and Fill Graphic are following the bottom line of the pavement thought...

Modeling for curbed median nose
I am trying to model a curbed median nose like the following picture.
So far I was able to use linear template to get the curb lines in for the median.
But for the middle sod part, I tried to use corridor clipping reference to clip out the middle pavement and apply a terrain and surface template in the middle, but it doesn't work out at all.
Anyone knows of a simple way to help with this problem?

Microsoft .NET framework error
I'm currently working in bentley GEOPAK Civil Engineering Suite with microstation select series 4. Every time i try to import a dgn model or hit the undo button (and other various actions) i get the microsoft .net framework error. I've read through most of these posts about it but i can't seem to find anything that works. Most of the time i can ignore the prompt and continue working but other times the system crashes and kicks me out of microstation

Bottom Mesh for Linear Templates and corridors
When modeling corridors and linear templates, the bottom mesh creates a vertical line at the end of templates. In contrast the top mesh doesn't do this.
Is there a fix to this?
(Bottom Mesh highlighted in Red below)
I am trying to include bottom meshes for quick subgrade terrain creation.

Error when using Cut and Fill from Component Quantities.
I am having a weird problem occurring. The first picture below is my corridor with cut and fill shown after processing the corridor:
The second picture is my corridor with cut and fill after selecting and going through the dialogs for the competent quantities tool. You can see for some reason the cut and fill shape ignore the model and the point vertical point control and shows what the template would be without them (and reports way more cut then the model shows). But the model still looks correct. What could be causing this error in reporting the cut and fill? If I reprocess the corridor it goes back to the first picture.

Why is there difference in Cut And Fill volumes between Component Quantities and Quantities Report by Named Boundary. ( There are no clipping in my corridor)
Component Quantities:
Cut Volume = 9975.83
Fill Volume = 654.69
-----------------------------
Quantities Report by Named Boundary:
Cut Volume = 10726.38
Fill Volume = 403.35

[ORD R3] Subsurface utilities connections
Hi,
recently I built model of utilities from xls and program used some default node cell, which I would like to recreate (see the picture below). However I have some problems with creating such cell. The node should automatically recognize both conduits and rotate accordingly. I made a few nodes so far but I cannot find a way for this one. I also cannot find this cell in Bentley's .cell file in standards. Can someone help?

Error when I query gINT database in ORD
I have imported our gINT (.gpj) database both from ProjectWise and locally from my PC. I want to display the boreholes in the model but when I 'Query' the database, all the fields in the 'Project Boreholes' table are shown in red as below;
When I try to 'Retrieve' the boreholes nothing happens and I guess this is the reason why.
Can anyone help please?

SS10 Testing - Annotating Cross Section Windows Installer Window
We are testing with the SS10 upgrades. Has anyone run into the issue where when trying to annotate cross sections a windows installer window appears and spins indefinitely? It seems to be inconsistent across different computers. We use PDQ to install our applications, so every user has the exact same install. And yes our users have admin rights to their appdata as that has been a question from people before. Running the application as an admin will work. Then as soon as the user runs it as themselves, its broken. Running in Windows 7 compatibility mode doesn't work either.

Active Vertical Alignment in InRoads V8i SS2 is not working properly for multiple profiles
I have created a multiple profiles that I cut for a Road, and I only have one vertical profile that I want to display in all these profiles.
In a previous project I was able to use the option in the geometry tools, view geometry then active vertical will display and it will automatically update all the profiles that I had. Now this option is not working.
I have to go to Geometry, view geometry , vertical annotation to display each profile individually, I am wondering if anyone knows how to fix this issue ? When I use active vertical profiles all the verticals profiles will go away and I will have to go to each individual profile to update the information, which I don't want.
Any help or tips and how to solve this issue, and fix the active vertical option will be greatly appreciated, thank you
