I have two alignments for two tracks and create a template with these two tracks and want to use the second alignment as a pointcontol with mode "Both" and use as a secondary alignment strange things happens see images.
I also tried to split this in two pointcontrols without a good result.

I am modeling a 4-lane divided urban roadway that has a bifurcated profile at the beginning and end of the project to tie into the existing road. The right PGL has a constant 11.00’ offset from the Centerline of Construction, but the left PGL has a variable offset. I’ve been trying to use horizontal & vertical Point Controls to create the model, but I’m having trouble getting ORD to recognize them simultaneously. I searched this web site unsuccessfully for helpful articles related to "bifurcate", "bifurcated", and "bifurcation". If anyone has successfully modeled a bifurcated roadway, please respond to this post at your earliest convenience.

What is the purpose of the highlighted block, how is it used, and- if it works somewhat like projecting lines in and points in SS2- how does one define the "bandwidth" of the projected elements or points?

I have a question. The grips when clicked on a feature line along with the distance and bearings of the feature lines have disappeared. Is there a setting somewhere to turn them back on. When I open a file in OpenRoads in its native format those grips are present. When I open a file in a certain workstation those grips, distance, bearings disappear. Is there a setting I need to turn on to get those back on.

I need to easily display text for spot heights at a reduced text height of 0.04. The default is 0.18 which displays too large. I have tried editing style sets but it make no difference. I have a standalone version of V8i. Does anyone no of a way of changing the text height and cross size. There looks to be options in the style set but it is not making any difference. I don't want to have to edit in CAD at a later stage as fr too laborious.

I've struggled with this for the last few weeks, finally discovered the solution, and want to document it here for others.
ORD would freeze / lock up whenever I tried to display dynamic sections on a blank view. The only way out was Ctrl-Alt-Del.
The cause turned out to be that I had unchecked the "View Tool Box" option under Preferences -> View Options. This is a personal preference that I've had for a long time in Microstation because it saves screen space. I prefer to have my view controls among my other toolbars. Rechecking the box solved my problem with dynamic sections. It would be nice if Bentley fixed this bug - either by allowing the view tool box to be disabled or by checking that it is enabled before displaying sections and locking up.

My project file has around 140 inlets and divided into 6 different networks. They are connected with SUDA storm sewer pipe links. All of sudden all those pipe links are disappeared from the file. I think they are there but not showing up physically. All the levels are on. I can see all the physical feature of those pipes in flex table. But it's not showing up in the design file. HELP HELP!!
I have started having problems with components and features after I have modified templates and reprocessed the corridor. The old toe of slope or top of cuts complex elements are not deleted in the 2D models and the Component are remaining in the 3D model so I'm getting a lot of garbage in my dgn's. It's like the elements are orphaned from the model but not deleted. The new Complex element tells you what Name, corridor it belongs too, the active profile and other info, the old stuff has no name, active profile or corridor tie, only a level. and most times to delete it I have to use the drop element command. I've had this happen to a corridor boundary too. The items in the 3d model are components and end conditions. I'm completely stumped. I have deleted most of the stuff in my 2D model but I have a fill line component in my 3D model that is visible but not selectable. I'm at the point of starting a new design file but I hate to start over I have 9 corridors to redo. Practice make Perfect....
For a long time, the standard workflow here has been to combine all data files (in our case, TDS RAW files) into a single behemoth. This dates back yo early software where preprocessing was required before bringing in an ICS file of the full Survey. When they converted to using InRoads Survey, they carried that workflow forward. Many of the consultants doing work for us did not follow this approach but brought in each file in sequence.
As we are preparing our training materials, I want to introduce this workflow, but I did not have real daily files, so I made my own from a behemoth file. One thing I am noticing is that as certain setups are brought in, it is supposed to recall and reuse the control points of the initial file. But in the process, it is changing their Feature to Default. In some instances, it is even complaining of duplicate points and wants to rename or ignore.
Is this normal? Is there any way to prevent these from occuring?
I'm using OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition - 2018.
The text editor background is white so I'm not able to see the text I'm typing. I found a thread describing the exact issue I had - see this forum: https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/f/microstation-forum/136640/connect-edition-update-5-text-editor-issue/451730#451730. The workaround I found in that same thread, but am surprised it hasn't been resolved.
On the Microstation forum I've found a mkrefsrelative-application which switch full referencepaths to relative. This one is only available for V8I
Is this one also written for Open Roads?
Or is there an other solution to switch all full reference paths to relative?...fast ;-)

MY ORD crashes during surface or linear template drop. The same file work on other colleagues workstations always every time and checked many times but crashes when i try to drop a linear or surface template on my workstation . The first thought was to reinstall the ORD again and check but had no success so updated the workstation to an advanced one (Thinkpad P52), but still when i try to drop a surface or linear template during Intersection and civil cell design , the software crashes. Any help would be really appreciated.
I am using ORD 2018 release 4.

Hi everyone, I am currently using ORD Version 10.03.00.43. I wanted to export 2D plan drawing from ORD to Dwg format. The plan looks fine in ORD as shown in the 1st picture. However after exporting it out to Dwg format, it turned out to have plenty of weird continuous lines(Green) as shown in 2nd Picture. May I know what went wrong on my settings during export process and how could I solve this issue?Thanks alot.

Can I import a Trimble surface file (.ttm) into OpenRoads?
Is there a way to attach a civil cell as a reference file and place it in the active file?....This would make better sense and would be easy to use. Then later you could move the cell to a library in your workspace or workset.
I created an alignment from lines created in SS3 or SS2 - I copied in the lines, created a civil rule feature for those lines, and then created an alignment using Complex by Elements. Everything seems like it works great. I have my alignment, it's editable, and I can see the report. However - when I go to view the profile it creates a secondary line in the file. What is that line/alignment for? It is not something we want to have, how I can I eliminate it?
Is our workflow wrong with how we create the alignment?
