I've been trying to get a building surface to tie into an existing surface but no cut and fill slopes are showing up. In fact, I can't get any surface created outside of the shape itself. When I used the example files from the Site Modeler training modules, everything worked fine. I think I've narrowed the problem down to issues with the InRoads DTM file. When I use the DTM that came with the training files, everything worked fine. But when I tried to add the DTM file from my own project (to the same MicroStation file), no side slopes appeared. Is there any requirements for the type of features that the DTM surface file must contain? I see that the example DTM has breakline, contour, exterior, random, range points, and triangles. But the DTM that I'm using from my project only has exterior features, random features, range points, and triangles. Could this be the issue?
