I am working in PowerRail Track Version - 08.11.07.685 as opposed to the InRoads suite of applications, but I thought I would post in this forum because of the increased usage of the drainage tools in the highway side of the business.
I have been using the Storm and Sanitary Drainage tools that are part of PowerRail Track to model existing and proposed drainage assets in a rail project.
I am currently modelling an existing culvert which is 3mx4m in section and 400mm thick. I have specified the structural information in my drainage structures .dat file and have given it a style for existing culvert in the symbology manager. I have specified the horizontal alignment for it as well as the inverts based on a 3D survey we have received.
My issue is that I when I view the solid that is created when using "View Drainage as Solids" addin, I am getting a solid box, with no "hole" for the water to run. It seems that the software has interpreted my dimensions and applied them, but cannot display them in a way that is useful to me. I am looking to cut some sections through this culvert at key points at the interface with the rail alignment and it seems that I cannot show it as a "shell" allowing the invert to be obvious.
Is this a feature of the software or am I using it incorrectly?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
A
