I am working in InRoads SS3 and am having difficulty with using "open cross section view" and "create cross sections".
I set the active terrain model.
Create an alignment using "complex by pi"
then "Open profile model", select the view to display the existing ground. Everything looks correct and the elevations agree with the terrain model.
I create a profile complex by vpi and associate it with the horizontal alignment. Still good to this point.
I create a corridor with a very simple template drop that is within the limits of my horizontal and vertical alignment(s). No error messages.
When I go to "open cross section view", I locate the corridor, then open the view and see my cross section, based on the template, but no existing ground line. Then I realized, if I zoom way out, the existing ground line is present however it is at an elevation of (-2,163,317.5345) and again it appears to be in agreement with the terrain model, just offset vertically from the design by over 2 million feet.
I am looking for some suggestions on what I may be doing incorrectly.
I am new to the OpenRoads/InRoads environment and am probably overlooking a simple step.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
