So what you are saying is, that the InRoads bullet is talking about Surface & Geometry Features and their Settings in the Style Manager. Now that you point that out, I understand the reference. The wording from help leaves a lot to be desired.
That said, a matrix that shows the various toggles in the Style Manager, when on, result in the following settings within an Open Roads Feature Definition would go a long way.
As Derek points out, the depth of capabilities within the software and the changes that a migration from Ss2 to Open Roads require, make our work efforts that much more complicated. And not having in depth explanations and examples complicates things greatly.
And I still think a workspace configured to NCS layers should be part of the delivered product. If nothing else, it might convince public agencies to standardize on NCS and make our jobs (those of us in the private sector trying to work for multiple client agencies) a whole lot less complicated.
