I am trying to Attach an Item Type to a dgn model. However the only way I know, how to accomplish this is to use Context Menu in the Explorer. Then right click on the model name and from context menu choose Attach Item Type. Unfortunately in ORD 2020 R2 context menu in Explorer will not appear in the File Tab. It works in Microstation.
Is there another way to attach Item Type to model than by using Explorer context menu?

As part of working on a corridor for stream restorations, I have corridor transverse lines crossing, creating a 'bowtie" look. Is there are way to remedy this? It is very diffuclt to create surface and use this surface in cross sections.

In both Microstation and OpenRoads designer I have created an Item Type, named 'Item Type from ORD' and 'Item Type from MicroStation'.
Both Item Types have the exact same Expression Value: 'this.GetElement().Level'. The expression value should return the level name of which the element is placed.
Now this works fine when the Item Type is created in MicroStation, but when the Item Type is created in OpenRoads Designer the value it returns is a number. The level number I presume.
Please have a look at the attached screenshots. And please let me know if anyone knows why this is. Am I doing anything wrong or is it a defect in the ORD application?
Is there a way to display the ROW in the Dynamic XS views? I figured out how to show them in the cut sheets but just need them at a glance.

When I right click/place temp dimension I get "No template drop defined" and when I go through the menu "Dynamic Sections" it asks for to Select cross section view but does nothing when I select my view...
Anyone know a fix? Or why this is not working?

I am working through learning Subsurface Utilities Applications.
One of the modules I am working through is "Laying Out a Simple Site".
I have followed the pdf and the on-demand videos and I encounter a problem when I try to Compute I am supposed to "Click No." and then the claculations are run on all the structures in the scenario.
Here is the problem - Rather that getting the GVF Report as the training modules directs me to suspect, I get this error:
Can I get some guidance on why I am not tracking with the PDF or the module videos at this point?
Im wanted to add an element number or Part number in my 3D model as an item type.
Is there any one that can help me with the expression to do this numbering automatically without repetition if that element or part number already exist?
Example
Element 1 -> EL1
Element 2 -> EL2
Element 3 -> EL3
and so on?

How do I delete custom linestyles from a dgnlib? I realized that I have custom linestyles defined at different scales in two different dgnlibs. I only want one dgnlib (with the correct scales) used for line styles, but I still need to load the other dgnlib for Survey Settings, Features Annotations, Levels, and Element Templates used for processing our surveys.
Set of user commands in .dat file that I use in V8i works in OpenCities Map? I tried with no success..
Anybody has successfully set this in a configuration, dgnlib etc?

I am fairly new to using Bentley software. I am in need of specific instructions (click here, open this, save here, etc.) on how to resolve my issue. I am using InRoads SS2 to bring in a .csv file. I click on the display names and codes buttons. everything is great. The issue I have is when I use the wheel on my mouse to zoom in and out, the text stays the same size no matter how close or how far out I am zoomed. Is there a way to set the text display size so that it will remain constant? If yes, please give step by step instructions. Thanks in advance. James H.

Has anyone done upgrade from SS4 to ORD using version checker? I'm running tests and come across the issues that although corridors seem to be preserved they miss the following:
1. Point controls lost link to Plan Element
2. The component meshes don't display, just linear features (checked corridor FD, levels etc.). They do display only when I change component name. Weird.

But I need to know as much as is possible to better understand how it is working with colours, properties, geometry. Please is here some IFC expert who implemented IFC in ORD

This project is in an urban area. Here is a Corridor with a lot of point controls and arches. In the Properties of the Feature Definition of the Corridor the Densify Horizontal is On. With the Arches this is a good way to increase the detail at curves and point controls.
The Value of the Densify Horizontal is very low (now 0.01). This causes a lot of intervals which makes the model slow (see image):
If I want to edit the Densify Value, the box is grey:
Is it possible to edit this value?

I use a point control as a secondary alignment when created. The modelling is made perpendicular outwards (green area in the attached figure) to the horizontal alignment used for the point control, but not inwards (red area).
Is it possible to make the inward part of the model perpendicular to the secondary alignment (created through point control) as well?

I'm looking for a means to replace the former Descartes function of stamping CAD elements into a raster image that worked under the V8i software family.
Bentley generally advises to use ORD to replace Descartes - but I am not seeing how/where the stamping tools wound up in ORD.
Anyone have that information ?

Is there a way to actually map a feature definition to a node when using ModelBuilder? It appears that I can only map a "dummy" feature definition to the utility properties - but unfortunately, that has no bearing in the element's actual feature definition. I am hoping that I am missing a checkbox or something.
Bottom line is that I have a shapefile with several different diameter nodes that I would like to accurately import - instead of having to manually update each node's feature definition, based on the diameter.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated; either directly on the question I asked, or a way to solve my issue that I am missing!

I sometimes (not always?) get an alert when I try to make a terrain of a point cloud. I use Open Roads Designer Connection 2020 release2.
Many of the people I work with use function keys to quickly bring up frequently used menus with the mouse, i.e. inputmanager menu modify or inputmanager menu manipulate. However in the latest version of ORD, it is missing many of the options. I am unsure if it has always been missing but it's been brought to my attention in the latest release.
In the ribbons all of the tools are there but not when using a shortcut. Not sure if this is something that has been reported or if anyone else is having this issue.
Also I am curious if it is possible to add/remove tools in the right-click menu?
I have yet to figure out a way to do this so am wondering if it's possible?
