Cross Sections Stations

$

I am attempting to cut cross sections and would like to add additional sections at driveways, intersections…  When run the Create Cross Sections I setup the start and stop stations with interval, then go to custom and add additional stations.  When I generate the sections only the custom are generated.  If the custom is left out then I have the sections at the interval chosen.  Is there a way to get both sets of sections to generate at one.  What I end up with is two models.

Hi,

I came across pricing from price book on OpenRoads Designer for Perpetual and SELECT Subscription,

Can anyone highlight what the product does?

Cheers,

Error with GEOPAK Drainage (DLB)

I am trying to get GEOPAK Drainage to work with my Drainage Library File, but I receive an error message that says, "Error Opening Drainage Library File <L:\ ... \dlb\englib.dlb>."

This issue seems to only be happening to my profile in the office. Whenever someone else logs on to their profile, GEOPAK Drainage work perfectly fine with that Drainage Library File.

I am using GEOPAK V8i (SELECTseries 1) - Version 08.11.07.227 and MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 2) - Version 08.11.07.443

Thank you

A File>Save As should accomplish this. I would move the alternate to a subfolder of the project to make sure no issues with reference files or persisting data back to native is affected in the original files.

What is a best practices to move/migrate a Corridor to a new file. For example, I have multiple corridors and surfaces in a file and need to look at an alternate design. Rather than add additional corridors into the same file and models, I'd like to move them to a new file and then, in that file, try my alternative design.

Upon further investigation, I determined that clipping boundaries are like Masks only.

My Parking Road is a big loop, like a "U" on its side. So I made a bigger, "C" shaped shape element and then used it to clip my outer edges. The "C" is all I needed, since I did not need to clip at the start and stop edges.

Apparently, after making the clip, the originating clip object is no longer needed, so I was then able to take its edge that actually clipped my corridor and create a Civil Geometry with its elevation from Surface which I then ran a curb around it using a linear template.

I'm working on a road with perpendicular parking along certain locations. The areas where the parking is flares out in a manner that no template drops can accommodate these, so I tried modeling the road having it run wider than needed and then draped my edge of gutter pan on the resultant surface. I also made the figure close on itself so it could act as a clipping boundary. But when I select it as a clipping boundary, it is making it a void and not a boundary. I already have a void and that worked great.

How do I make it so the clipping reference is not a void but an outer clip?

No solution for a linear template. other than making two Linear Templates with a gap between them?

Could you create a corridor and place the same template on it? I realize your template may need to be flipped if your linear template currently requires reversal (not sure what the term is for flipping with a linear template).

Still working on my parking lot. This is complicated - I hope I have explained it well.

My design is a Curbed lot that needs to be modeled by running a Curb and Gutter as a Template around its edge (Corridor or Linear Template) because there are too many 90 degree corners to use a Normal Corridor with Point Controls. The Sidewalk behind the curb will need some walls because the parking lot doubles back on itself and also runs along another similar Parking Area.

So I wanted to build my bottom of wall breaklines using Profile by Slope From Element to run from my back of curb to the wall outline and in other areas simply use some of the remaining back of curbs. From this, I could create my sidewalk terrain element and apply a pavement section to it and complete my 3D model.

In Ss2, I could build a new 3D breakline from a Feature in a DTM from any source (corridor, etc.)

But the Profile by Slope From Element tool will not allow me so select the Feature from my Corridors or Linear Templates.

My parking lot edge is a derived surface from an underlying terrain from a General "pavement slope only" corridor. My design intent needs to build from that terrain, to my curbs as draped on that terrain and from there to my sidewalk edges from that back of curb.

How can I extract the back of curb features where I need them while still retaining their link to the original corridor so that this tool will allow me to create my bottom of wall?

The Selection Set method does not read graphics for the node - it simply places a node at the end of the graphics which are read to create the pipes. If you have 3D graphics for the pipes and nodes - such as cells that represent the cover and invert elevations - then use the Utility Filter method. This will read the elevations from the cells.

Use Extract Utilities From Graphics to model existing conduit,SUDA automatically model a node at the end of the conduit.

Can I predefine the node type as what I want?

OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition is a new single product that will ultimately replace the existing product lines of InRoads/GEOPAK/MX and PowerCivil for Country. It will offer significant capability uplift including drawing production / documentation deliverables with the CONNECT platform on a simpler product pricing structure. Since this is a new product line, new licensing will be required and on contract renewal, the option for qualifying existing civil product licenses to transfer onto OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition licensing will be available. The new product licensing includes entitlement to use the legacy / existing product lines of InRoads/GEOPAK/MX.

Currently we are engaging with users undertaking a 'Limited Access Program' during the development and will shortly be announcing details for participation in an Early Access program - which will also be posted to the communities.

Major bug in PowerCivil an PowerRailtrack

Hi,

Today I have found a major bug in PC 08.11.09.878 and PowerRailtrack 08.11.09.878 en previous version PowerRailtrack 08.11.09.872

If I want to make a corridor in from a reference file As.dgn in the above version it took about 10 min. to create a Corridor. If I do the same in previous version from PC PRT 08.11.09.845. it tooks me 3 sec. ?

Ok it's a large alignment about 60 km. but in .845 there isn't the delay, so what's going on here
