I have Power InRoads SS4 and am unable to load the .itl file in the project file open dialog. I don't see the .itl extension in teh file type options despite the fact that I have set up the projects defaults to include the folder containing the .itl files.Online help indicated that the template file will not be available until the create template Library is initated.
Could someone please let me know what I am missing becasue I can't find any command that will allow me to start the process.
I'm trying to annotate cross sections using Microstation 08.11.09.714 and Geopak 08.11.09.845 SS4. I'm able to cut cross sections but when they're done and I zoom into what would be a template point there is no 'X' displayed so that I can annotate between points. Any help on resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated.
Can any body help through this, i want to know that can we get existing curve details using topographical survey data.
When exporting from Openroads SS4 the survey data to Inroads SS2 Srvey Data --> Field Books-->Export to--> Inroads Format it is saving as .alg file, How we can save as fwd file.

Using InRoads V8i (SELECTseries 4) V08.11.09.845 and MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 3) V08.11.09.714.
When attempting to open an sdb file(attached), the error message shown in screenshot below is received. The error is not consistent in any way. The same file opens without any issues in the following circumstances:
1.When opened using a different underlying Microstation dgn file. (Only sometimes)
2.When opened on a different user's computer
I am finding it hard to narrow down to the source of this issue.
History of this sdb file: File was imported from ASCII format using the "Import" feature in Inroads. File has not been externally edited int MS Access.

What specific product are you using and what version?
If you are referring to the Vertical Geometry through the new OpenRoads tools, there is not a table editor. However, some of the native programs/tools do have table editors for the horizontal and vertical geometry.

Land surveyor that is a former InRoads user and I am now using GEOPAK. Creating a surface for others to design from.
I need to create horizontal alignments from point numbers for creek cross sections. I have used the Horizontal Geometry tools and Vertical Geometry tools from the Survey Tasks menu to cut profiles from my surface. My client wants me to use actual shot points rather than surface data to create the profiles. I tried the 'Complex by Element' workflow and it works but the output is not what I want to see.
I attempted to use the GEOPAK>Survey tools to create lines from points but I keep getting the error message that there are no points in the current project. When I use the Project Explorer I can see the field book and the properties show all the points.
I attempted to export the field book but I can't work out how to import the file to the Survey Project and, to be honest, I am not sure why the Survey Project is different from what is in the Project Explorer.
Obviously, I have hobbled together a way to make the project work up to this point but some guidance on how these work together and what I missed or messed up would be very appreciated!

I am working on an airport runway overlay and I have created overlay\stripping components for both milling and leveling. I want to display these areas on plan view so I can show where the milling and leveling will be needed. Is there a way to have inroads use the component and display it as a shape in plan view. I tried the surface\display\components and it will show pavement, but it will not show the overlay\stripping components.
If there is not a way to have inroads do that automatically, is there a way for me to have a report output the offset from center line to the start of leveling and another offset to show the end of the leveling section for each cross-section?
I appreciate any help!
I have an terrain model in Openroads SS4. The model was produce from other terrain models that I used with the "create complex model" from. The edge boundary has several sipkes with "0" elevation. I need to remove the spikes only I cannot seem to find a routine to accomplish this. Any ideas are welcome
