Just started working on a parking lot and was going to follow the mbuilds youtube workflow:
- Create profile elements to create 3D graphics
- Create terrain from the 3D elements
- Drape the edge of gutter pan onto the surface
- Push a Curb & Gutter template around the 3D edge
My starting data was 2D contours so I made them into 3D civil objects using the Set Active Profile after creating profile by points to start and setup the contours at their correct elevation and grade (0%)
After creating a surface from these, I realized they were not sufficiently long enough. I thought I could use a MicroStation extend line tool to lengthen them in 2D and then modify the profile to match their new lengths. However, the 3D elements never updated to reflect the longer lengths.
Should this workflow have worked or is this not an acceptable workflow.
