I'm using MXROAD V8i SS4
First a wee bit of my background... I used MX for about 5-6 years and I attended a number of Bentley MX training sessions, new user, advanced user, and also roundabout design. Due to moving jobs I came away from MX for a while (4 years) and had to learn various other design software packages, Civil3D, 12D and PDS, but I'm now back to using MX, which I like because I find the deign process a lot simpler with MX.
Anyway, to my question. Through my years of learning and using MX I was always shown the VALIGN way of vertical design, and have found no problem with this. A colleague who is leaning MX and has had some inter office training is using VERAT for his vertical design. I'm interested in benefits of using this method instead of VALIGN.
My question is, what are your opinions, pros / cons for the different methods?
