I do not know the .pnt file format, but if you can read the data into MX, you can calculate the volumes.
Method 1 - probably the most accurate as it uses triangulations
1. Make a separate model for each surface
2. Triangulate the surfaces, trimming as necessary
3. Create an isopachyte triangulation
4. Use PRISM option 911 to get the volumes.
Method 2 - using sections
1. Make a separate model for each surface
2. Use VOLUME option 050 to calculate the volume.
