How to Track the offset (cut/fill) between the Active vertical alignment and the Active surface in profile?

I need the vertical Alignment tracking tool to show me the cut/fill height between the active Vertical alignment and the Active surface in the profile, at the mouse pointer location regardless of the poiters vertical offeset from the  vertical alignment.
