[OR] Survey Question - Zones, can these be used to isolate Bridge Deck Surveys from Ground Level Surveys?

In an earlier thread, I asked about Zones in Survey and the response was that this is a feature carried forward from GEOPAK Survey. However, no further explanations were offered as to what could be done with Zones. So I am posting this topic to attempt to get a more definitive answer.
