Ideally, when I snap to something it will follow that key point.
In my current situation, I'm adjusting linework to snap to a specific point along an attached file. When I am able to snap to that attached file, I'm able to work with that. However, when the snap hits a line within the working file (because they're stacked in place) the snap evaporates as soon as I move the cursor. Even if I do a tentative snap and then click before it has a chance to show me that the snap didn't take, the linework is modified according to my cursor location.
Now, what I believe is a reliable observation is that if I'm constructing new linework, the snap works just fine. For obvious reasons, reconstructing all my linework in order to get the snaps to work is unacceptable.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?
I'm using Geopak SS4 .878.
