[CR OR] Need Edit Feature Point Tool for Open Roads

I just tried as many ways as I could imagine to accomplish something that took less than 5 minutes using the Edit Feature Point tool. Sometimes when site grading, you need to build breaklines using lots of different tools and in Ss2 and earlier, we could break an modify the end results using this tool and get the desired results.

I am working on a parking area that was best designed using corridors as it is a winding road with perpendicular parking areas along its length with areas where it is only the road width. Additionally, its entrance and exit actually share a median. The overall shape is sort of a long isosceles triangle and in the middle, I need to grade a pond.

So it was easier to grade the ponds general shape using the bottom and topmost complete contour and then grade from it to the parking lot surface using the same slope until it ties into the grading that occurs naturally in the pond area. But, along the high side, it was necessary to include a wall so the pond meets the volume needs. So the pond slope ties into this wall through part of this grading. So what I did was profiled the face of the wall to match the pond surface. But I then needed to partially delete the section of this pond slope element that extended beyond the wall face. Seems there is no tool to allow you to do this.

The element is a 3D Linear Element created by Slope to Terrain Model (Create 3D by Slope to Target Tool) . I could not know the start and stop location until after first building the pond and then creating the Profile from Surface for the wall face.

So I imported the 3D element into InRoads as a Breakline and using the Partial Deleted and Edit Feature point tools, was able to get a portion of that 3D element I needed and eliminate the portion I did not.

Open Roads needs tools that allow such edits. Even if It forced me to break the 3D linear feature into two features at some arbitrary point, I could then adjust the new start and stop stations end get the desired results. I was hoping the partial delete tool would allow me to open a gap anywhere along the 3D linear element and it would work similar to how Civil Geometry works in that the underlying element would still exist but would also know there was a gap from point A to point B.
