I followed the process from this video, communities.bentley.com/.../7917, that imported shape files into a dgn. I followed the process from the video and everything seemed to work just fine. When I imported the shape files using the Map application, the contours were exactly what I wanted. I then imported the contours into a surface by using the import element tool. This also appeared to work correctly as the northing, easting, and elevation all seemed appropriate. When I triangulated the imported surface, this is where a lot of the contours disappeared. The images attached were the contours after importing the shape files and the other image is of the contours after the triangulation.
