[OR/IR Ss4] Drafting Notes - Plan Note using Element Symbology when Set to Use Another

I am using the {VERTICAL_ELEVATION} computed insert to label elevations from an alignment. The tool is using the Alignment Style Symbology instead of the symbology set in the (Place Plan Note) Settings dialog box. There is a From Element checkbox, but it is not checked.

To read the Elevation from the Vertical, I have to use Element Placement mode.  The Leader type is 2 Point.

Our alignment style has unique symbology for Lines, Arcs and Spirals but all use bylevel symbologies. The linestyles is set to a centerline dash and the drafting note is using this Linear symbology so all leaders are drawn as a centerline and not a solid line as defined in their named symbology. Also, the text settings in the named symbologies used for line, arc and spirals have different text settings so the text in the drafting notes are not lining up with the leader the same way.

It gets worse - the notes placed on the spiral or linear portions of alignments, I get the same symbology - based upon the linear segment symbology. But on the curves, I get the arc symbology. Style lock also has no effect. Now, use the update drafting note and the text moved to the intended level from the drafting notes settings, but the leaded and delimiter remain on their previous levels.

BTW, I am also using a math function with the note to add 14" to the computed Vertical alignment elevation. As a result, the drafting not does not see the computed value as an elevation any more. Instead, its precision is now treated as a linear value which now comes from design file settings instead of the precision tab of the InRoads Project Options.
