The OpenRoads commands for disable rule and remove rules do not work on point features. This needs to be added.
Use case:
- I place a point marking a property or right of way corner by snapping to a linear feature.
- For some portion of the project it is appropriate for the point to continually update as the design changes.
- Then the parcel in question is purchased.
- After which some joker decides to change the alignment.
- Since the parcel is already purchased, it is no longer appropriate to allow the parcel marker to move. Even if the alignment change requires new, additional property to be acquired the original purchase must still remain intact.
The problem is:
- as noted, the remove commands do not work on points
- Nor can I override the rule by typing in the exact same coordinate in element information.
Only known workaround:
- Write down the coordinates (or screen capture or something)
- Select the point and use the drag handles to reposition the point, thus removing the snap rule.
- Then use element information to type the new coordinates back into the properties
- (Or similar workflow using Civil Accudraw to assist in the coordinate keyin.)
