You definitely can run independent corridors based on independent alignments in SS4 which is originally what I set out to do but the issue with the floating mill and inlay shape got me looking for answers and that's how I stumbled upon the forum thread I linked in my post. Now I didn't try changing the design stage of the corridors to reduce the template drop multiplier but I am afraid it would not completely solve the problem with the mill shape but would get it much closer. I guess this was more of a corridor set up question rather than a superelevation question. I know going back to corridors based on the independent alignments would solve the superelevation issue but then I would still have the problem with the mill shape. It appears I may be able to solve this by putting key stations on the ramp and frontage road corridors where I will be cutting my production cross sections but was hoping to see if anyone has a more efficient solution.
