[OR] Keeping Native ALG Synchronized with Open Roads in a Bidirectional Manner

I'm working on an Open Roads project and am having to use Site Design workflows, due to our task assignments on this project.

We have a lot of settings in our DGNLIB's which do not adhere to the Client's CADD standards, so are having to use a lot more native tools than is probably recommended, in order to have final Graphics that is according to their standards. The CADD Management felt that it would be less work to make a minimum number of Preferences in the Master XIN file for Final Display of our designs while using the Example Bentley Civil workspace files during any Open Roads work.

Additionally, I have been using InRoads since its initial version on CLIX, so a lot of the Open Roads Civil Geometry tools and workflows slow me down, so sometimes I use native vertical and horizontal alignment tools.

As a result, I have some pure Civil Geometry elements and others are pure native elements imported from memory. As I understand it, any elements set to automatically export to native will rewrite the alignments in an ALG if modified. Is there any workflows that allow us to manually decide when something is to be updated and which direction the update is to occur? In other words, can we sometimes make edits to the civil geometry and save that to an ALG without it creating a new alignment and other times, make our edits using native tools and then update the Civil Geometry without it making a new Civil Geometry Element.
