Yes, ruled. I have gotten spotty, mixed results when attempting to do deletions this way. Sometimes it works and sometimes it just doesn't. Sometimes the reason I want to take this route is because I need to remove a break line for which I no longer have a source element (and therefore cannot remove the break line using the usual method).
Most recently when I tinkered with this, the message in the Message Center I got was "Error in Contour Range". I'm not entirely sure this particular message is related to the issue of trying to delete a conflicting break line, since I have a whole lot more of those messages than I would expect when thinking about how many times I attempted to solve the conflict, but it might be related.
