using point control causing template origin to shift

With InRoads SS2 version 08.11.07.619 I am using features to control some points on a template to follow the radius where the curb is at an intersection. I have noticed when I do that it is causing the origin of my template to shift a very small amount throughout the entire alignment. By small I mean 0.0003 feet small. Not a huge deal until I try labeling slopes in my cross sections. Since the origin is no longer right on zero the slopes are randomly negative or positive depending on which way the shift is.

Has anyone run into anything like this before? There is no way that controlling those points should have any effect on the origin point of my template that is controlled only by the alignment. The shift doesn't show up at all when in the designer only when the surfaces are generated. It's getting maddening, because I can't use InRoads to properly label my slopes with this error or I can't properly model the curb at the intersections.
