RE: [OR] Feature Settings to Create Surface 3D Breaklines While not Creating Sub-Surface Breaklines

What I did in Ss2 and earlier, before this client supplied XIN, was to name my template points in such a way that it was easy to isolate surface from "do not triangulate" features using feature filters. I also made a heavy use of the Point List in the Template Editor so it was easy to correct any misnamed and mis-styled features. I also made Component only styles and Feature only styles and implemented naming conventions for features, components, feature styles and component styles.
Then we were given an XIN file for our largest client and all of that went out the window, even though the supplied XIN had many gaps when compared to my efforts and in some cases had too many overlapping style usages. By that, I mean too many different items being drawn to the same levels or even with completely identical symbologies.
When this was brought into Open Roads, these issues became even more glaring.
Someone needs to write up a complete guide to setting up styles for corridor modeling. The videos are too much only scratching the surface. And mostly about how to organize and define settings and not enough on the how and why one setting makes sense for one application and a different setting makes sense for this other situation.
