things that with SS2 were actually quite simple - like updating cross sections or displaying paving grades.
I do really miss that Cross-Section update functionality.
However on crashes - I got software crashed like two-three times a day (8 hours of working with PowerInroads) - not much I think and sometimes I push software to its limits. Since SS3 was release I used it as a main modelling tool for few projects: corridor modeling of highways and combined corridor and site modelling for airside projects. With .872 release I am going crazy with Project Slope to Element tools - can not be trusted at all. Overall performance was improved I think but I still miss SS2 stability and its portfolio of tools that were not introduced with OpenRoads.
What I really like is that with OpenRoads we can benefit from Microstation referencing capabilities. It is really easy to split project into separate tasks and many team members can work simultaneously on a single interchange (just an example).
I ve been working with OR sinc beta was released. then I ve been using it for real world projects. Can not really say which is more productive SS2 or SS4. And unfortunately as I have no experienceI can not compare it to competitors Civil 3D to have a full picture.
Looking with hope forward OpenRoads Connect Edt :)
