I'm using the Event Point dialog box to record centerline elevations at specific locations for additional calculations. I'm adding descriptions to make keeping track easier, but every time you use the "target" button to pick a new location, it clears the description and the style.
So to reduce the amount of typing, I'm copying and pasting prior descriptions and then editing them to change a handful of characters. In the edit process, I can use the backspace key to delete character in one direction, but if I use the delete key to remove characters in the opposite direction, InRoads takes it as I have pressed the Delete button on the dialog box.
It does not matter where the focus is nor even if none of the previous points are selected. The only saving grace is that it asks "Are You Sure?" so I can cancel the inadvertent delete.
One more thing - while the dialog is re-sizable, it only allows making it taller or shorter - not wider. The amount of columns presented really invites a desire to make it wider, but that seems unsupported.
