I have filed change request 562968 - Target reference feature (or alignment) within specified range, with our Development group.
This request reads: As a user I’d like to be able to target a feature in my references file for a user specified range. This would be helpful when targeting a feature (or alignment) in a loop where the opposite side of that loop is being picked up also.
